And often, there are friendships and even love waiting just around the corner, if we are brave enough to take the first step.
Am I brave? Or will I hide behind these tattered gloves of mine forever?

As
I came to end of Willow Fairchild and Sam Shepherd's story, I found myself
quickly flipping to the the prologue of their story. I had come to a
realization. Not only did the prologue resound within me, but also I was about
to embark on a journey of two beautifully written teenagers story where their
hurt became my hurt and where their healing became mine too. Why? The author
best describes what the story is about: hope. "In our darkest hours,
sometimes, even the weak could find the light."
Both
Willow and Sam have experienced a tragedy. Both are tragedies that
fundamentally changed them both. But what happens when two changed souls meet?
The speed of this story is slower but I do believe it is for impact.
Beautifully, quiet words and symbolism a plenty made me tear up in some places
and smile quietly in others. This being my first read from this author and
reading her first novel in this YA genre was truly a pleasure.
I
leave you with this question I've asked myself many times now after I've read
the last page...that is when you read this story cause guess what, you will
want to. Were the tattered gloves a savior to both Willow and Sam?
