Our manager swallowed then let out a long sigh. “She’s been in a motorcycle accident.” My grip on the neck of my guitar tightened, and my jaw worked to the side as I fought for the strength to ask, “Is she still alive?” I could barely whisper the words. “Yes,” Marcus assured me with a quick nod. “But she’s…” His forehead wrinkled, his lips dipping into a sorrowful frown. “But what!” I shouted. Marcus flinched then grimaced. “I’m sorry, man, but…she’s lost her hand.
